bigmike55 - I'm so sorry to hear about how difficult your journey has been. Throat cancer has one of the harshest treatment regimens among all cancers, as you've found out. The good news is that these treatments are often effective. I was diagnosed three years ago and am doing great, so please have hope. Take very good care of yourself and try to worry as little as possible. This tough period will pass...hang in there!

So sorry, Deb! I know that you're still in shock. Along with the throat cancer I mentioned in my reply to bigmike55, I also had breast cancer 14 years ago. Had surgery, chemo and radiation and am just fine today. Hang in there- you'll feel much better once you have your treatment plan in place. In the meantime, we have forums here specifically for those with BC (this one is for "Head & Neck Cancer"), so check those out...look up at the top of this page and click on "Cancer Types," then look for "Breast Cancer." Sending you bunches of healing vibes!

What did your doctors say the blisters were due to? Were you taking a medication that the sun reacted with? I hope they are getting better? BTW my sons name is "Big Mike" great name - great movie

It was due to lot of factors sun burning after treatment plus me not doing much for 19 months plus low red blood cells and being diabetic don’t help

True indeed - sounds like you are doing better now. Are you back at work? My brother in law is just finishing radiation for the same and he is pretty wiped out
