My husband has done the radiation & chemo, 1st scan was clear 2nd. the cancer had come back. For almost 3 yrs. now he has been receiving chemo almost weekly, low doses, to keep the cancer from growing too fast. So any questions you have feel free to ask. This is something I am not new to. my husband never had any teeth removed but he was 70 when they found the cancer so that is probably why.

Sorry to hear the bad news. But feel positive at this stage. I had stage four neck & throat cancer, I'm still kicking after 10 month,s . As far as what to look forward to in the near future.
Chemo & Radiation in high doses. At this point a caretaker is very important. The patient will be weak, loss of memory and Fatigue, dry mouth.
With the side effects you can not function the first few weeks. I will end at this point and the group shall educate. Ask your questions, we are here. Prayers to you both.

Radiation & chemo can cure it my husbands cancer was gone for about 6 mos. When it returned there was nothing more they could do except weekly or monthly palliative treatment. he chose the weekly. Its been 4 yrs since diagnosis. Good luck.

Has he started treatment yet? II had or have stage 4 neck & throat cancer. I went through a treatment of Chemo at high doses along with daily Radiation treatment.
Now you are suffering after effects, dry mouth, fatigue, chemo brain.
Please update us on his treatment.
Prayers go with you.
