Is it typical for a recurrence of head and neck cancer? I was diagnosed with stage 4 HPV on the base of my tongue 2013. After 40 rounds of radiation and 4 rounds of chemo I thought I put this behind me. Six months later same cancer appears on the lymphoid. I had a radical neck dissection in 2014, and god willing it’s gone. I’ve been x-rayed in Dec to ensure it didn't go to the lungs or the bones. I'm totally paranoid and feel like I’m walking on eggshells. Does it get any better?

WOW, you have been through a lot. I have exactly what you had stage four head, neck and throat. Had the same regimen you had 4 chemo.40Rad.
I heard our numbers for us is 40% chance of return. This scares me also.
We have to keep fighting....Bless you and best of luck.
