Hello, well its been a year since my husbands journey basically started his squamous cell carcinoma of the right oroparynx startwd as a sore throat a year ago in July. Its been a ruff year. Had his surgery on December 15 2014. Then startwd 33 treatments of radition done with those in April 2015. He us doing ok some of the time. Still very tured. He has to have a whole put in his nasal cavity the end of this month because the flap grew to the back of his throat just above the back of his throat he has no opening for nasal drainage to drain so he has to go around holding a hanky all the time and of corse it means no air can go through his nose. Totaly blocked. He is able e to drink but eating is still very hard for him. Still doesnt have an appetite. Got him powder protien sgakes that has stoped him lossing weught. He still has his feeding tube tull they do the nasal surgery to make sure he can eat if he swells alot and though he mwants to gwt ride of it he understands. As a care giver the waiting is hard and the worrying. The dictors wont di his first six month follow up till he heals from the above. If everthing goes ok then we get to start thinking teeth. They have to he specialy made. So it Kansas City. I know it takes a while for the tiredness to go away. And he has back issues that dont help but i am hoping and praying that I get to say its been two years and so on. Thank all of you that have listen to me vent this last year God bless. Well keep you informed.
