Thank you krishnaaa and pjbeecher for your responses. I am spending my 3rd day in hospital. On Thursday tried to eat ice cream and subsequently spent all night coughing it up. I have now been placed on a nasally inserted feeding tube. I can go home when I am able to swallow. I am hoping to be able to do this when I am healing more. How long did this process take for you?.
