Hi just wanted to let every one that my husband that is dealing with throat cancer takes his last radiation treatment today. Happy but worried he has alot of nausea. He has meds for it but don't seem to help. Zofran, drug of choice but didn't help him so they went to compazine.and phenagen. We are 2hours. Away from his oncology Dr. So going to make sure his medical Dr is up with everything. He has been getting fluids every week going to ask if he still should get them. Neck is pretty burned. But at least they are going to let him heal before they do some minor repairs to his nose as they closes it off when the put in the flap to cover the whole in his mouth. We have one more thing down thanks for all you have given me hope and listen to my rants. Kathy

Another option to treat nausea- Kytril
It was a wonder drug for my nausea during radiation therapy. I took by mouth, but now they also make a transdermal patch.
Thanks to all the Zofran seems to be working. The doctor ordered him to have fluids for a few time also to get him over the hump. He is starting to feel better. But very forgetful at times. Hope this also improves but if it does its ok. He still can't hear out of his right ear I am hoping its not permeant.on ward and up word.

Neasua is gone. Neck is no longer peeling like a burn pt. Got a sinus infection. But made it through that. Now we are again in thecwaiting game. We finally good a phone call from an Nurse Practitioner. For his followvup on his cancer surgery ? ? Dont get me wrong they are grrat, some even better than some drs. But for folliw up on a complacted case of throat cancer. But that apt isnt till the midfle of June. Finally get to meet his plastic surgeon for his nose. Hoping the can fix it from where they pluged it up whith to much graphed. I think it would help his eating and breathing and talking.his eatting is still bad up to maybe 10% of any thing take by mouth. We was told he should be doing more. I got frustrated at him about not doing any of his tube feedings wanting me to do it all.but he is using his pump without a fight. Grabing a can of cold ensure or carrot juce even eatting mashed potatoes. I feel bad but it got him leting me go to work for a few hours. Well enough griping tonight thank you all. May your God bless bless yoy for a long and cherished life. Kathy
