Was a biopsy done on the tumor? The biopsy will tell the physician what type of treatment will work the best on that specific cancer. Radiation, immune therapy, surgery, or chemotherapy. In some cases all four types of treatment maybe needed. Each treatment is very specific to a specific type

One thing you will find. You are never told of the side effects that can linger for years and recuperation is a nightmare. I had neck & throat cancer, they could not operate. So in a six week period i have had 3 weeks of chemo 6 weeks of radiation,
